Infusion RN

Department: Infusion
Location: Bluffton , SC

Southeastern Rheumatology Alliance is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team in Bluffton, SC. The infusion nurse will be responsible for administering intravenous medications to patients in a private practice medical setting. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills, exceptional patient care abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products according to physician orders and nursing protocols. Aid physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Monitor patients during infusion therapy to assess vital signs, evaluate patient response, and manage any adverse reactions. Monitoring, tracking, and assisting patients during their office visits.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including infusion records, medication administration, and patient progress notes. Updating patient charts and tracking paperwork using our EMR system.
  • Cleaning and preparing patient areas, equipment, and tools.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure treatment goals are met.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and healthcare staff.
  • Assist in the maintenance and organization of infusion supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in both the States of Georgia and South Carolina
  • Degree in Registered Nursing
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Proficiency in administering IV medications and managing central venous access devices (CVADs).
