Practice Manager

Department: Administration
Location: Atlanta , GA

Southeastern Rheumatology Alliance is seeking a skilled and compassionate Practice Manager to join our dynamic healthcare team to support both our Atlanta, GA and Woodstock, GA locations. The Practice Manager reports directly to the COO with an indirect reporting relationship with the physicians in the practice. Under their supervision, the Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice. The Practice Manager provides administrative leadership and support to the practice and its team members and ensures that quality customer service and exceptional patient care are provided according to established policies and procedures and is also responsible for working in collaboration with practice physicians to manage overall operations. Responsibilities also include ongoing evaluations at facilities and for developing and implementing measures for staff evaluations, coordinates with HR to meet staff performance standards, transfers, promotions, and employee relations concerns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages day-to-day operations for clinic and ensures adequate staffing and training.

• Identifies and recommends procedural changes and solutions for inefficiencies practice wide.

• Acts as a liaison with leadership for the providers to relay any clinical, operational, or other issues they may have.

• Responsible for meeting with leadership on a regular basis to provide recommendations, reporting, and insights.

• Responsible for developing recommendations based on data and analytics to drive optimal clinical performance.

• Responsible for managing current facility issues, the relocation of current facilities, and onboarding of new providers.

• Identifies staffing and people development needs for direct and indirect reports.

• Assists with special projects as defined by COO/CEO; participates in the coordination, implementation, and execution of a variety of complex projects.

• Maintains constant familiarity with Profit and Loss Statements.

• Responsible for the ability to lead and develop a team and drive performance improvement, demonstrated by progressive increase in management responsibility.

• Consistently and proactively demonstrates the ability to thrive in a highly matrixed environment.

• Maintains and demonstrates a rational and analytical approach with a friendly disposition and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.

• Maintains flexibility to work beyond regularly scheduled business hours.

• Consistently demonstrates excellent time management and organizing/prioritizing workload skills to meet deadlines.

• Ensures proper safety techniques, policies and procedures are adhered to by all in accordance with company guidelines.

• Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues.

• Monitors and ensures compliance, organizational standards, and policies and procedures.

• Other duties as assigned by leadership team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

• 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting required.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

• Employee must have good oral and written communication skills.

• Knowledge and comprehension of basic medical terminology and anatomy.

• Ability to multitask, attention to detail, possess organizational skills and

set priorities against deadlines.

• Strong critical thinking and problem solving.

• Proficient with EMR System.

• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

• Ability to travel 5%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
